Our Founder

The journey of our founder, Claudia, began as a child in the vibrant markets of Mexico, where she discovered her love for crafts. Years later, living in the United States, Chula SF became her way of reconnecting with her roots, working closely with artisans in Michoacán Guerrero and Oaxaca where her husband family live to bring their talent to the world.

Today, every purchase supports fair wages and empowers indigenous women to continue their craft.

El camino de nuestra fundadora, Claudia, comenzó cuando era niña en los vibrantes mercados de México, donde descubrió su amor por la artesanía. Años más tarde, viviendo en Estados Unidos, Chula SF se convirtió en su manera de reconectarse con sus raíces, trabajando de cerca con artesanos en Michoacán, Guerrero y Oaxaca, donde vive la familia de su esposo, para llevar su talento al mundo.

Hoy, cada compra apoya salarios justos y empodera a mujeres indígenas para que continúen con su oficio.
